Thank you MacArthur Center on the Granby... We really had a great time, beautiful weather and fun strolling on the Granby. Loved the enjoyment of Urban site seeing, dining, sit & sip a while in your "NY City's" style nostalgia... And Wow! So many things to do and see, with Movie Theatre, Shops, Eatery, Walking, Biking/Motor Scooter's, Museums, Historic Cultural festivals & Small businesses, and much much more... Will deff be back real soon! 😂 We rated your establishment 5 star's because even though the atmosphere is very Metro NY & DC style. It compliments Norfolk Ghent & Granby good vibes nostalgia, of living a lifestyle, Ya don't need a vacation from...😜

What a gem of a memorial and museum. Free entry, informative, and well presented. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Gift shop on site.

Absolutely sad they are closing this place to create what? This mall is beautiful and the last little bit of stores in here are all perfect. I wish the city of Norfolk would actually just put their time and effort into this place again and understand they could make so much profit off of it if done right.

I enjoyed my time at this mall, it offers 3 levels of stores and entertainment. The mall has a variety of brands to choose from. The mall is bright and clean has lots of options for getting around such as escalators, stairs and even elevators. There is also a movie theater and food court on the third level. At the time when I visited there was a mini art gallery in the mall, I’m not sure if this is a year round feature. I thought that was pretty cool though. You have to pay for parking here so keep that in mind. I caught an Uber since my hotel was nearby.

The live band entertainment in the food court and family fun India festival outside courtyard has a lot of fun going on but I enjoyed finding a restaurant that had the Volcano sushi and saw they also had a Sushi Bar there too👍 …

Been to many malls, and this all is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen - and still is. Every basic vacant unit is rent-ready for new tenants and a promising customer base is being wooed from land, sea, and sky - condos being built all around, for the 1st time, back-to-back cruise liners coming in weekly, and Norfolk ORF ramping up flight into Norfolk, making condition rip for revival.

This is a clean but dying mall. The reason I gave them 5 stars is because of their epic Schindler elevators. Also as you can see they have a very clean toilet.

Went to McArthur Mall for the last time to visit one last time but the mall is already closed by 5 pm. 😢 lots of memories in this mall when my son still small walking around the mall. I am gonna miss this mall all the memories we have in that mall. 😢 …

It was honestly a bittersweet visit to MacArthur Center in downtown Norfolk. I went there with my wife, my son, and one of my close friends, thinking we would just spend a casual afternoon walking around, grabbing a bite, and letting my son enjoy the open space. Instead, it turned into a moment of reflection, knowing this place may soon close its doors. This mall has always had a beautiful layout — wide walkways, bright open spaces, and a calm atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy without feeling crowded. Even now, with fewer stores than before, the remaining shops are solid and well-maintained. There’s still quality here. My wife enjoyed browsing through the stores that are left, my son loved walking around and exploring, and my friend and I couldn’t help but talk about how much potential this place still has. It’s honestly sad to think it’s shutting down. You walk through and can still see how much life it once had — and how much it could still have. With the right vision and effort, this could thrive again. Downtown Norfolk deserves a vibrant mall like this, a central place for families and friends to gather. I truly wish the city would reinvest time and energy into it. Done right, this place could generate so much value and bring energy back to the heart of downtown. It feels like the end of an era — and it didn’t have to be.
